The things we are most thankful for....

This Thanksgiving was extra special - Carter turned 1 !!! Since we had already celebrated Carter's birthday over the weekend with the family - well we decided to celebrate it again! And according to Zach it needed to start off with donuts...

And yes Dad got the boys dressed today - a little too much burnt orange for my taste (I personally think C agrees with me... )

But he did like Dad's birthday gift for him...

We had Nerf War I and II ( thanks Mimi! )

And of course you can not celebrate with out cake ( or cupcakes in our household ) ...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARTER !!!

A DAY AT THE ZOO....

The weather has been too nice to spend it inside. So Friday we decided to head to the Zoo. If you ask Zach the best part of the Zoo is the Aquarium - and I lost count on how many times we watched him crawl thru the tunnel in one of the tanks....

And then we headed to the Children's Zoo - where there was more crawling in small spaces...

And of course no trip to the Zoo is complete without a couple of rides on the carousel.

This was Carter's first ride- as you can see all smiles ( FYI this was BEFORE the ride started) ...

And the second time around I noticed Dad was holding C ( go figure!)

On our way out we had to stop by to see the Zebras - Zach had a great view....

And Carter - well the little guy was exhausted !!!!

The Unitard

Yes we slacked the last couple of weeks - we have been busy - so here are a few snap shots of C in the PJs that just make me laugh....

Road Warrior

If you have not figured it out .. Carter is a LITTLE bit of a Daddy's Boy. So this weekend when Dad was cleaning out the garage he needed to be right there with him. When he discovered his brother's big toys - he got a little excited.

So the wagon got dusted off and we went for a little stroll around the neighborhood.

But then we found the Jeep and the wagon was soon forgotten. OF COURSE we had to give it the once over Carter style.

And we had to try out every button and knob ... and he really wanted to get it on the road - to see what it could do....

but soon realized - his legs are a little too short.... So I have a feeling Carter will be hitting up his brother to take him cruzin' around the neighborhood as soon as he can...

Jumping Skills

I don't blame Little Man - I would be hiding my face too if that is the hat I had to wear..

and I understand his excitement when he finally got it off!

Now this one - just cracks me - yes Little Man has pretty much outgrown his saucer- but it comes in handy when we are outside. Well Little Man loves to jump in it and to make everything light up and all the sounds go off.... and as you can see - the fact that some of the toys swing - right as his head - does not bother him - he closes his eyes and jumps harder!

and then smiles and waits for the applause from his audience.
